JOB SUMMARY
This Transcreation Project Management position will be a diverse, challenging and client-facing role.
You will be dealing with a variety of transcreation and translation projects, and liaising with the team internally, clients and suppliers. You will manage transcreation projects from beginning to end, with increasing autonomy as the existing workflows and processes are learned. You may be asked to support the team with projects & reasonable tasks unrelated to your accounts as well as with new projects that have not yet been assigned. You will adopt existing processes as well as any new processes and procedures as they are introduced to the team.
As you take on new accounts, you will be the main point of contact for those accounts, but ownership will be shared with other Project Managers. Your day-to-day will be enhanced by your eagerness to learn and to develop new workflows and practices. Ultimately, the role requires transcreation project management know-how combined with common sense, and the motivation to participate and thrive in the team environment where many things can happen all at once.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRANSCREATION PROJECT MANAGER
• Overseeing day-to-day transcreation projects, serving as primary contact between suppliers and clients
• Analysing client briefs and deciding on best approach
• Coordinating and managing delivery of multiple translation projects
• Accountable for project status, client relationships, and ensuring quality and service always meet expectations
• Identifying new strategies, approaches & workflows for your accounts for continued improvement
• Attending meetings as required to discuss and clarify briefs, client requirements, deadlines and budgets
• Effectively communicating with clients, linguists and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction
• Quality Assurance of all projects delivered to client
• Assisting any member of the team with reasonable tasks if required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• +2 years of experience in Project Management
• Familiar with transcreation workflows
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a 3-year college or university
• Experience with localisation of marketing campaigns
• Good communication skills including customer management
• Experience with different production formats (print, video, web)
• Good at multitasking
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with video/audio projects is a plus
